Will the dog need any special dietary requirements?

Not really, not unless specifically advised by either the Vet or our team. Most ex-racing dogs will have been fed one main meal a day whilst in kennels, and that will have been a high-protein special racing food. Once a dog retires from racing, any normal dog food with a protein level of 23% or less should be sufficient.

The best advice is - try different brands until you find one that your dog likes and will eat. Apart from that, the only other thing is not to feed your greyhound too many treats, however, ours seem to like boiled vegetables for some unknown reason... and they just love their chopped up Sunday Dinners!
