Meet and Greets

A chance for people to come along and meet pet greyhounds who have been successfully re-homed.  It gives people an opportunity to come and meet the greyhounds to see how good they are with children, how laid back they are, etc.  All of our volunteers are knowledgeable and you can ask them any questions you may have regarding care of greyhounds.

People who have recently re-homed dogs are welcome to come along and share their experiences.  We aim to successfully re-home greyhounds to interested parties who find out about us at meet and greets and also raise much needed funds at the same time.

Hazel Beck (secretary) & Richard generally organise the meet and greets and try to encourage people to choose a time slot so that there are always a few people and dogs there at any one time.

Beach Walks

The second Sunday of every month at 2pm, at the middle of the big car park on The Links between Seaton Sluice and Blyth. We meet just behind the toilet block.

A leisurely walk which takes no more than an hour, walking south along the dunes path to Seaton Sluice and returning along the beach.  We usually have about 15-20 retired dogs coming along for the walk.

Everyone is welcome to come along to socialise their dogs and meet other owners.  We love to see happily re-homed dogs.  If you are thinking of re-homing a greyhound it is a great opportunity to come along and walk someone else's dog and get tips on settling new greyhounds into your home.
